It definitely feels like a dark time for those who seek and value love and empathy. Much was decided based on the price of eggs and Americans, rightfully so, were looking for a change. One of the topics I plan to explore here in the coming weeks is the pyramid structure of capitalism and the path of chasing money and power vs love.
As a starting point, we should consider that money has whatever value based on our belief and participation. It is also something we all need and therefore it's easy to argue that having more couldn't possibly be an issue. Spiritual leaders of both East and West have warned about the love of money. The bible calls it the root of all evil. I'm suggesting "eat the rich" at all, but I think we have to be open to the possibility that the chasing of wealth up through the levels of the pyramid create decision trees that constantly tempts the character of the person to constantly choose themselves over the good of others. And when they make these choices for the love of money we call this "selling out" or "selling one's soul".
One of the obvious connections to the case of Jedi v Sith (at least in the fictional sense) is that we see the choices of this nature play out in the path of the dark side. We see people give up their power (such as voting for fascism) out of fear and hiding behind a "strong man" who will do the dark and ugly things that they believe are necessary for their survival. But the truth they don't seem to fully understand is that this person's desire for wealth and power doesn't simultaneously make them care about them. They only seem to care as long as they can use that deception for political or economic gain. And so once they get into power it begins to suppress the light side and the first to be targeted are the "enemies" that could overthrow that regime.
It's time for Rebellion to rise up. It's time to intellectually wage war against the bad ideas that led us to this moment. Fight for love and empathy. Not just in your own life, but defend these ideas from the impending doom and gloom around you and those who might be more vulnerable than you.

The Jedi, Brandon: Lord of the Cosmic force. Real Jedi this is how I want my monks dressed. The Laku tunic is a nice costume. With a Tunic over it. But to be real about my style of warrior monk. I want you in a Gi not a Laku costume. Tunic over the Gi. So if your tunic comes off. Your dressed to fight comfortably. And you will live in your Gi. And be belted in your Gi. So thick Gi to keep warm. Build Jedi Dojo's until our temple comes together. Jedi patch work and symbols on the Gi's & Dojo. Turn Jedi in to a word in Martial Arts like Cobra Kai. It'll make kids beg for karate/kung fu/tai kwon doe lessons. Nerds, crunch the numbers. And the nerds take karate & kung fu. Getting picked on by the cool kids. Don't we? But grow up. Knowing how to make them look stupid after all right! I belted in a karate/kung fu blend. But my parents took me out at Orange. Because I got caught smoking. So the rest was self taught.

And my understanding of spiritual physics "Self-taught" and the Cosmic force/mist/magic. Remembering the force is everything. I'm a mystic. So our Jedi myst/mist is a cosmic mist. Full of spirits. And you wont believe the spirits that I'm married to. So I believe I'm married to the force. How do I get involved with the website. I'm an active member. Because of my wheelchair. But believe in reincarnation. May the force be with you.
